Hello,

Yes you can give the UPSC interview in Kannada. Kannada is included in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution. Therefore, this language is allowed for the UPSC interview. You can exercise the medium of Personality Test while filling your DAF. But it won't be of any additional advantage unless you are too weak to speak in English.

All the best!

Hey,

If a candidate takes the Civil Service Mains Exam in a language other than Hindi or English listed in the 8th schedule, he or she can choose the medium of interview from that language, Hindi, or English. If a candidate takes the Civil Service Mains Exam in English, he or she has the option of having the interview conducted in either English or Hindi, or in the language chosen for the required Paper II. You can surely go for choosing UPSC Interview medium in Kannada.
