it is advisory to do 11th and 12th from same board, and

ifyou have gap between your 11th and 12th you can always show your 11th mark sheet and take admission in 12th .But no school now a days take new admissions in 12th. But you can always try govt. schools.

Yes , it has its own value .You can surely take admission there.

While it is ok to pursue class 12 form HBSE board, I would advice you to prefer doing class 12 too from a CBSE school. Completing your class 11th and 12th from a single board is advisable to avoid complications if you are appearing for any entrance exams in future. Doing it from different boards  would mean having multiple school leaving certificates and pass certificates from different boards. Even filling an application may get confusing in such a scenario. So, as far as possible try to opt for a CBSE recognised school.
