MBA or PGDM which course is good and why?
hey stuti,
There is not a huge difference but the difference lies in the curriculum. The PGDM courses are based on company requirements. As per industry requirements, the syllabus or the curriculum is designed. You can find PGDM mainly in most of the IIM's. the other differences are.
MBA norms are dependent on the university and curriculum is not frequently revised as colleges can’t introduce changes without the consent of the university. MBA course is more focused towards developing the business and technical knowledge where students usually develop the theoretical concepts that are essential for the business world. PGDM is more of a flexible one as autonomous institutes can introduce elemental changes more frequently to make the education more effective. Usually, PGDM courses are way more updated than an MBA. PGDM is more focused towards the practical approaches of things which mold students to face real-life problems and come up with feasible solutions. Additionally, students get industry-oriented and adaptable to corporate.
According to me, PGDM is most valuable as it fulfills the company requirements.
Hope that helps
all the best
Dear candidate,
Most of the people, after gaining one or two year experience in management field, think of pursuing an MBA or a PGDM course.
Pursuing both these courses helps one in the growth of their career, in getting a better position and obtaining a bigger salary.
MBA: Stands for Master in Business Administration.
A Master in Business Administration (MBA) is a degree course offered by the colleges affiliated to the universities. So, only universities can offer MBA programmes.
PGDM: Stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management.
A Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a diploma course offered by the institutes that are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and which are autonomous and not affiliated to any university. However, accreditation by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) makes an institute's PGDM course equivalent to an MBA.
Hope I answer your question and it's helpful.
All the best!
Hello,
It is totally depends upon your choice or in that subject you have deep knowledge and interest so that you can score good marks in that subject and then you will become an expert of that field.
I would like to say that, in any institute or college you may study, because every institutes have their own way of teaching, but if you want to know exactly that which is better, then you should ask the individuals who is or who was studying in that institute.
You should focus on yourself and your study.
