Hello there!

Greetings!

Marks required by you in neet to get a seat in mbbs depends upon various factors like the category you belong, for example cut off for general category is high but cut off for sc /st category is quite low, your state of domicile etc. Also cut off marks for Medical Colleges for mbbs keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks scored by students, toughness level of exam etc. So , if you want to get a seat in government medical college the you should target at least 580+ marks , better target 600 to be on a safer side and to get a good college  if you belong to general category as cut off for medical colleges have really gone high as seen this year i.e. in 2019. Let me know your state of domicile and the category you belong to so that I can help in a better way.

thankyou

Dear Aspirant,

The marks required are not for MBBS but for the college providing the MBBS course. That is you have to first give the exam and then on the basis of your marks you will get a rank. And then on the basis of that rank you will go for counseling and then you can choose from various colleges available there in counseling.

Depending upon your rank the best college from your preference will be allotted to you. Now the minimum marks to get selected in at least one college varies with the category as follows:

GENERAL - ~500

OBC-NCL - ~450

SC - ~400

ST- ~350

At these marks  you can expect admission in at least one college.

Hope this helps. Thank you.
