Delhi contains 9 medical colleges. AIIMS medical college has 50 seats and it gives admission to students by the rank of NEET examination. Total 6 government colleges are present in Delhi which consists of 900 MBBS seats. Delhi has one deemed university which comprises 100 MBBS seats. The state also has an army college of medical sciences which provides admission to children of Army or Ex-Army persons.

40.5% of MBBS seats in various medical colleges are reserved for GN(General or Unreserved) category students.
For GEN- EWS (General Economically Weaker Section) category 10% MBBS seats are reserved for aspirants. Candidates whose family gross annual income is less than Rs 8 Lakhs are eligible for EWS Reservation Category.
15% MBBS seats are reserved for SC (Scheduled Caste) category aspirants.
7.5% MBBS seats are reserved for ST (Scheduled Tribe) category aspirants.
For OBC (Other Backward Class)category, 27% of MBBS Seats are reserved for candidates.
For PH (Persons with Disability) category candidates, 5% MBBS seats are reserved. In this, 5% of seats in all reservation categories like GN, EWS, OBC, SC, ST are reserved for aspirants with disability from that particular reservation category.
There is 5% horizontal reservation provided for Defence Category in all institutes and the counselling is administered by Indraprastra University.
