MBF (Master's in Business finance) is a relatively new course started by Xavier School of Commerce. The course is PG and the eligibility criteria requires a candidate to pass out as a graduate with a minimum aggregate score of 55% from a recognized board with Mathematics and statistics as the core subjects for B.Sc graduates, Accounting/Finance for B.com Graduates, and Economics for BA/BSc graduates. The duration of the course is 2 years and the fees are 14.5L INR for the entire course.
The median salary, as shown by the college, for the first pass-out batch of 2017-2019 was 12.7L INR. The top recruiters consisted of Tata Capital, Capgemini, HDFC Bank, Wipro, IBM, HDFC Life, Reliance Industries Ltd, PWC, Deloitte, Godrej and Boyce etc.
The course is primarily focused on equipping students with skills required to efficiently manage the finances of a business or organisations in the real world market.
There's also availability of internships for students in various big brand companies to provide them with an exposure to an office environment as well as practical problems in the world of finance.
