Pune University has got an intake capacity of 60 seats for M.Com course. Graduates in commerce can look for admission to the course by qualifying an entrance exam conducted by the University itself. Entrance test covers questions from commercial mathematics, reasoning knowledge, etc. Marks obtained in qualifying degree will also be considered for admission. Selected candidates can pursue the course by remitting Rs. 10,496/- per annum as fee amount. Total fee for the course is Rs. 20,000/- for candidates outside the state of Maharashtra.
Eligibility criteria for M.Com Admissions in Pune University
Graduation in commerce is the basic qualification required for admission. Those having bachelor degree in computer application, business administration, etc are also considered for admission. Eligible candidates should possess minimum 50% marks in qualifying examination. Those belonging to reserved category need to score 45% marks only.
Selection Procedure for M.Com in Pune University
Pune University conducts an entrance test for the selection of eligible candidates. Marks obtained in the qualifying examination is also taken in to consideration. Entrance test score and qualifying examination score will be given equal weightage during selection process.
Admission of candidates who have pursued their qualifying degree from any of the Universities other than Pune University will be done solely on the basis of entrance test. Entrance test is carried out in objective model. There will be 60 questions for the test, each carrying 1 mark. Questions will be asked from four main sections as mentioned below.
General Commercial Knowledge
English Language
Test of Reasoning
Commercial Mathematics
There will be 15 questions from each of these sections. There is no negative marking for the test.
