MD Radiation oncology as career option.. can Radiation oncologist run his/her own clinic.. is this a emergency branch... what is the difference (clinical aspect) bw radiation oncologist and onco-physician..

Hope you’re having a great day.

I would like to inform you that good training in radiation oncology requires modern XRT machines, CT sims, good medical teachers and physicists, experience with modern treatment planning systems and dedicated Brachytherapy facilities. A good training should increase one's employment scopes manifold. Radiotherapy residency from a top institute guarantees good job prospects, fellowships, SRships and registrar jobs paying almost six digits per month while training from average centers guarantee nothing. This is in stark contrast with many other clinical branches where an MD and own acumen is all that is required.
