No, it's not including your EWS category.  The norms of Centre said that the benefit will be available only to families whose gross annual income was below 8 lakh per annum. Income includes all sources, that is salary, agriculture, business, profession and it should have been earned in the financial year prior to the year of application. So if your parents income less than 8 lakh and no properties or buisness are present then it's okay. You are eligible for EWS category.
