Hello Aspirant,

Each IIT in the top 6 has a very quality education and recorded good placements offers.

Choosing a better branch amongst the two, mechanical and chemical totally depends on you. If you have interests in subjects like machines, their parts, manufacturing and designing automotive, then mechanical would be a better choice for you.

But, if have interest in subjects like chemistry, thermodynamics, chemical analysis, and mass and heat transfer , etc. then chemical engineering would be a good choice for you.

Each IIT give admission to mechanical and chemical engineering branch depending upon your category, percentile rank and councelling.

But, it's mainly depends on which branch you have more focus and interest into- whether mechanical or chemical. The final decision may be yours.

Hope that helps. Good luck
