Firstly, you should figure out where your interests lies and what you think you wanna do in long terms.
Computer engineering is related to both computer software and computer hardware. You'll get to master the computer including how to program, network and troubleshoot. In short, every thing related to the computer.
Mechatronics is the amalgam of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer engineering to create robust automated systems. You study specific courses from all these three domains to be able to understand and design automated systems. You can also work in robotics, AI and control engineering if you choose Mechatronics engineering.
I should also mention that some things are common for both these fields e.g. Programming. You'll have to learn a lot of programming for both these engineerings.
So, if you think you have a passion for computers and want to learn programming and create softwares, go for computer engineering. On the other hand, if you're interested in automation robotics etc then mechatronics is the field for you.
