medium of language used in christan medical college vellore??
Hi there,
Let me first share you some information about the college:
Christian Medical College or (CMC), Vellore is a private, minority-run educational and research institute. It has a network of primary, secondary and tertiary care hospitals in Vellore and on the outskirts of Vellore too.The institute, constituent college is affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University.
Now the problem would be the language if you are not belonging to Tamil Nadu,
because,Tamil is the language spoken by most of the people in Tamil Nadu, although other Indian languages are also commonly heard in Vellore (Hindi – the national language, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Urdu, for instance). Many South Indians, including shopkeepers, know some English, so most visitors who speak English , do not have too much trouble making themselves understood. English is the medium of instruction in the Institution.
So definitely it gonna be difficult for you to survive in a new environment but YES if you would be able to make some local friends over there then you will also get use to their language :)
Don't loose hope and get ready for your strangest experience you are going to have in your life :)
I think this will help you!!
The medium of language in CMC Vellore is English. But Tamil is the most common language spoken in Vellore, Hindi is also a medium of exchange. Shopkeepers and other local settlers know English and there is no difficulty in communication.
Hope you get it.Thankyou
