Hello Aspirant,
See NEET UG is the only entrance examination for medical courses such as MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS and some other courses. To appear for NEET UG you should be either appearing for class 12th or you should have passed it with Biology background.
After appearing for NEET Ug then you will have to appear for NEET UG counselling which is of two types, one is All India Quota counselling which is conducted by MCC and DGHS and another is state quota counselling which is conducted by respective state counselling authorities.
Through AIQ counselling seats are allotted in following categories :-
>>> 15% MBBS/BDS Seats of States
>>> 100% MBBS/BDS Seats of BHU
>>> 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India
>>> All India Quota of JIPMER (Puducherry/ Karaikal)
>>> All India Quota seats of AMU/ DU/ VMMC/ ABVIMS
>>> All India Quota Seats of Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia)
>>> All India Quota Seats of ESIC
Through state quota counselling the seats are allotted in the 85% state quota seats in state colleges and different private colleges of each state.

For example, NIT Durgapur offers B tech biotechnology but admission is through JEE main for which maths is compulsory to be eligible . Some of the colleges offering B tech biotechnology to Biology i. e PCB students include VIT etc
To be eligible VITEEE exam for btech biotechnology , one needs an aggregate of at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology in 12tg board exam or 50 % in aggregate of physics chemistry maths/ biology is belongs to SC or St category
