All the best!
Well brother, it very harsh to see that an aspirant even before stepping into the college is so career centric and prioritises only to placements. I would strongly recommend you to discover your interest/niche and thereby choose your branch accordingly.
As being an engineering student (from NIT) I can say every branch is equal and had lot to offer and any apsirant can build a great resume and career provided he/she has interest over it.
Infact even considering you choices, let me explain it to you
- If you opt for metallurgy and then after GATE selected for a maharatna PSU, then salary would be around 20Lacs
- By ocean engineering, and then cleared the GEE of naval army then you salary would be around 15 Lac and an esteemed position at Indian Army
- By naval architecture and then recruited under a top architect or designer as a trainee or an assistant, then salary would be again around 20Lac + incentives like foreign tour etc.
So don't under estimate any branch, every branch has an equal potential to reach to sky!
