Hi sumit, yes you have better option than computer engineering like you can go in IT engineering, electronics engineering. And more than that you can do BSC, BA and more .

You should take comedk exam for engineering in karnataka get a 4 digit rank and choose CS or IAS in the applicable engineering college.



And if you score more than 70% in engineering you will easily find a job in bangalore or around.



But be specific with the branch studying something like mechanical and then working in IT is not justified to your four years of engineering.

If you want to go for engineering only then also there are so many options like civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, food technology and many more. You can opt for any one of them. Did you write EAMCET exam conducted in your state. If yes then in btech you have many options rather than computer engineering. Actually it is a good branch don't compare it with your 12 board marks because it's completely different. It depends on your interest on the subjects in which you are thorough. If you are interested in computer engineering then it is a good choice and Also it is a good branch. If you are zero interest then go for other branches.
