Minimum marks for a general Category student to get admission in any of the Nit's will be around 150-160.By scoring 150+ You can easily get some new nit's like Nit Uttarakhand,Nit Arunachal Pradesh etc. but don't expect Nit's like Nit,Trichy Nit , Surathkal(Karnataka ) . For getting the old & reputated nit's you must have to score more than 200 marks if you are general Category student,even after this chances of getting Cse in these Nit's are less...

If you want to get into good NIT than you should score more than 220+. If you want to get into CSE at top NIT than you should have score 270+. If you just want to enter into NIT than you should have score 135+. IF you want to get CSE at average NIT than you should score 190+.But it is vary every year based on Difficulty level of exam and the marks obtained by students.
