Minimum marks for a general Category student to get admission in any of the Nit's will be around 150-160.By scoring 150+ You can easily get some new nit's like Nit Uttarakhand,Nit Arunachal Pradesh etc. but don't expect Nit's like Nit,Trichy Nit , Surathkal(Karnataka ) . For getting the old & reputated nit's you must have to score more than 200 marks if you are general Category student,even after this chances of getting Cse in these Nit's are less...

NITs differs from a range of NIT Warangal to NIT Mizoram.All the NITs have different cut offs and top most like     Warangal,Trichy,Allahabad,Surathkal...generally have higher cut offs then others NITs.In low ranking NITs a seat a can be grabbed at a score of 130 and above but in top NITs a seat can be fetched at a score of 170 above.

Above 180... It Sufficient

If you want to get into good NIT than you should score more than 220+. If you want to get into CSE at top NIT than you should have score 270+. If you just want to enter into NIT than you should have score 135+. IF you want to get CSE at average NIT than you should score  190+.But it is vary every year based on Difficulty level of exam and the marks obtained by students.

Cutoff to qualify exam - 110+

cutoff to get any course in any NITs/IIITs - 160+
