It is advisable to score at least 118 marks in VITEEE 2022 to get a good college. According to the expected cutoff of 2022, with greater than 118 marks, you can secure a rank of upto 250. With 113 to 117 score, rank may be 500 to 250. With 90 to 113 score, your rank may be 2500 to 501. As a result, you may get a rank of 20000 if you score less than 31.

First 20000 rank holders will go to the 1st round of counselling.

There is no minimum qualifying marks to qualify in VITEEE. If you have positive non-zero score then you will be eligible to participate in the counselling provided that you must fulfill the eligibility criteria. VITEEE 2022 is conducted for 125 marks to have decent chances of getting seat in Vellore Institute of Technology in any campus you should aim to score minimum 70-80 marks or above in VITEEE. There is no minimum marks required to qualify in the VITEEE examination. Actually counselling process is organised after the examination and seats allotted to candidate based upon their performance in the entrance examination and their preferences. There is no pass or fail in the examination but the way your performance in examination affects is your academic fee structure. There are five different categories in Vellore Institute of Technology and each have a different fee structure. Now better you perform lesser you have to pay. But it does not guarantee that you will definitely get a seat because the number of seats are limited and those seats only divided into various categories. You have to perform quite well and get a rank below 15000 to confirm a seat in Computer Science and Engineering at the Vellore campus and below 25000 to get a seat at Chennai campus. The other branches have high cutoff as they are less in compared to to Computer Science and Engineering. In addition to this if you get a rank above 1 lakh then you would not be eligible for admission at Vellore or Chennai campus and you you would have to turn to to Bhopal for Andhra Pradesh campuses.
