Let the present age of mother be x years and the present age of daughter be y years.
Given that, x=6y
Also, x+6=4(y+6)
Now substituting x=6y in x+6=4(y+6)
6y+6=4(y+6)
6y-4y+6-24=0
2y-18=0
Thus y=9
The daughter’s age is 9 years then her mother’s age is 54 years.
