• Clinical Embryology is a stream of biology which mainly focuses on the study of fertilisation of eggs and the healthy development of the embryos. Specialised doctors working in the field of Clinical Embryology are known as embryologists.
• An embryologist focuses on the creation of embryos outside the mothers womb with the help of sperm and eggs. The people has been facing issues like infertility, embryologists are often considered as life-savers for families and couples.

• It is a 2 year duration course, the fees varies according to colleges from 1.25 - 5 lakhs.

Eligibility criteria for Master's degree:
For Masters program- A graduation degree in the required subjects with a minimum passing percentage. Minimum percentage in 10+2 examination as well. The students may have to appear for an entrance level as well.

AIIMS  Entrance Exam This is an All India Entrance Exam for admission for M.Sc courses into the All India Institute of Medical Sciences that has a minimum age criterion of 17 years and eligibility criteria of 60% in the 10+2 examinations.

BITSAT This is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Birla Institute of Technological Sciences for admission into their M. Sc. Courses in Clinical Embryology

MET (All India Manipal Entrance Test)- The entrance test is conducted through online mode and offers admission to eminent candidates. The score achieved in the test is accepted by 3 colleges.

Scope:

• Apart from governmental and private sectors, certain self-established and self-running reproductive and embryologist centres have also been founded.
• These medical centres mainly focus on the study, research, practise, diagnosis and treatment of patients with health issues related to female reproductive systems, sexual well-being and infertility.
