MSC INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OR MBA INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Hi,
It depends on your interest. If you feel you are good at the technical details of IT and want to pursue a career in IT itself (a career in IT is also possible through an MBA, we will discuss it further in the answer) then you might as well continue with MSc. IT. Your background details are extremely essentials in such cases (which you havent provided here). Now if you already have an experience of working in IT field, by now you should be clear in how you feel working in that field, and hence the first question of whether you want to remain in the technical field(IT) or want to change you career path gets answered there. However, if you arent experienced then it becomes a difficult task. Lets dive into details of it further.
If you want to pursue a career in IT itself, even through MBA then you can choose Systems as your specialization and complete your MBA to get roles like a Project Manager or in Treasury & Trade Solutions Operations etc.
If you want to change your career path to other fields like Marketing/HR/Finance/Operations etc. then also MBA stands as an excellent option for you unlike MSc IT (assuming you wont pursue MBA after MSc. IT again), which will restrict you to the IT field.
So in summary for the short term,
If you want to change you career path -> MBA
want to stay in an IT role -> MSc. IT
By this, I am not saying that MSc. IT will only give you a technical position. After earning a good experience at your job, you will be promoted to Management roles for sure, however, it would cost you some years to reach that position as you gain the relevant experience in the company.
I hope I have answered your question.
