M.Tech food technology  is a post-graduate degree having a duration of 2 years.

In this course ,Candidates are supposed to study of manufacturing, processing  and preservation  of food products. It also involves the study of the physical and chemical  composition  of food items,packaging  and storing of food products. Quality  analysis  and mainting  the hygiene of food products  are the topics which are covered throughout the degree.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

•Candidates must have a B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc degree in a relevant discipline  like Food technology, Agriculture,Food science or equivalent.

•Most of the institutions accept minimum 50% for the admission criteria.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Candidates who have GATE scorecard and hold B.E/B.Tech degree can directly  take admission.

For the Non GATE Candidates ,institutes conduct entrance exam for the mentioned course.

Candidates should apply for the entrance exam and admission  procedure will be conducted further with the shortlisted Candidates.

SALARY

Starting salary is approximately  INR 5 Lakh to 8 Lakhs per annum .Salary depends on the job status, experience ,knowledge and skill.
