Greetings
NEET is a entrance exam conducted by NTA particularly for admission in courses like MBBS,BDS, BAMS etc
The minimum requirement to appear in NEET to complete 10+2 or appearing from a well recognised board with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology.
The eligibility criteria of percentage to appear in NEET is as followed
UR/EWS- 50%
OBC/SC/ST- 40%
UR(PH)-45%
Since, you got 142 in PCB so the percentage will be 47.3 so if you belongs to the UR/EWS category, you are not eligible to appear in NEET exam.
But,if you are from categories like OBC/SC/ST or UR(PH) you are eligible to appear in the NEET entrance exam. Thank you
Hi
Which category do you belong to?
*******To be eligible for neet, you need to pass 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-
-
at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category
-
at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st category
-
at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
Now,
Your aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology is
= 142
=( 142/ 300 x 100 )%
= 47.3 % i.e lesser than 50% , but more than 40 % so you are not eligible for Neet if you belong to general/ews category but if you belong to OBC/ SC or St or pwd category then yes you are eligible for Neet examination
Also,
******** to be eligible for neet one has to be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the year of appearing
******** There is no upper age limit for Neet .
******** There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.
