Hello
Yes you can go for it.Basically ba llb cover mostly constitution and subject like history which allows you to cover 10 to 15 % of UPSC syllabus.
For other 85 to 90% you can go for any classes and you have to read paper like the hindu and read about the current affairs side by side along with the llb its really help you a lot.
Feel free to ask...
Good Luck.
The eligibility criteria of UPSC states candidates need to pass Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with no specific aggregate, they are allowed to appear even in the final year of their graduation and they need to attain 21 years. Now,coming to your question law as a career is great option and even for government exams you'll have much scope beyond UPSC as well, but to be specifically talking about UPSC yes, it's a great option, you can also have law as an optional subject, it's a scoring subject as well as there is also availability of good quality material for discipline and moreover BA-LLB majorly covers a large part of UPSC syllabus as well in terms of having humanities subject to the degree program apart from law as a optional, so this is a really good option and choosing law as a graduation degree will definitely help a lot in preparation for UPSC.
