Having satisfactory grades in 10/12/Graduation, besides having a 2 year strong experience at an MnC in IT Sector, you need to secure atleast 99.2-99.5+ to have fair chances of getting a call from the Top Six IIMs, namely Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Bangalore, Indore, Kozhikode and Lucknow.
However you should not keep any constraints in your mind while selecting an Institute for MBA. Even if you do not make into one of the Top 6 IIMs , there are many of the newer IIMs at Shillong, Nagpur, Amritsar, Rohtak, Raipur, Sirmaur, Ranchi as well as Management Schools of IITs like SJSOM and VGSOM, and Institutes like IMT Ghaziabad, SPJIMR and MDI Gurgaon , which are equally good and you should consider participation in their admission processes using your CAT Score. The above institutes have excellent infrastructure, faculty, placements as well as a strong curriculum to provide an effective management education.
