If the marksheet was damaged, then you may contact the concerned board, and ask for a duplicate copy. You may refer to your school as they will help you in getting a duplicate copy.
Or find some pass certificate, or any other document related to marksheet.
10th marksheet being a government certified document, is very necessary and is required as a proof for your eligibility as well as date of birth.
