Hope this helps.All the best.
Hello Vishal,
No matter if your preparation for class 11th is not good. Around 60% paper is from class 12th syllabus. Therefore, you can still score 150+.
In order to achieve the target, I suggest you to analyse your mistakes, and try to solve as many previous year question papers and mock tests as possible. You may join some online test series, to get a feel. You should identify the syllabus and prepare a checklist of all the topics. Cover the full list one by one. Have a work plan.

The percentage of questions asked from class 12 is around 55. Therefore, if you can thoroughly prepare the syllabus of class 12, you have a good chance of getting a good rank.
To cover the 12th syllabus effectively:
- Complete the NCERT textbooks first. Read every bit and corner of the books and solve every single question. You won't believe how some questions are directly asked from the textbooks.
- If you have time, then start solving some questions from standard JEE books like HC Verma (physics), Cengage Learning series (chemistry and math). This will expose you to a wide variety of questions.
- After this, start solving the previous year papers of JEE Main and Advanced. Again, some questions are simply repeated, without any change in the values.
If you want to revise class 11th syllabus, try skipping point 3 (only if you are short on time), and start reading the NCERT books of class 11. This will strengthen your concepts a bit, and you will definitely be able to solve basic JEE questions.
All the best!
