In order to study MBBS, you have to give NEET. NEET is national level undergraduate medical entrance exam to get admission in medical, dental, AYUSH, BVSc and AH colleges in India. Also, admissions to AIIMS and JIPMER are done through NEET exam. The eligibility criteria for NEET exam is:

  • The candidates need to pass class 12 or equivalent exam with PCB and need to secure minimum 50% in PCB and aggregate( for general candidate) and 40%(for SC/ST)
  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years.
  • Also, there is no upper age limit.

Based on the NEET rank you have to appear for the counselling procedure. You can apply for both All India counselling and you respective state counselling. The candidates are allotted seats through the counselling procedure.
