Even if you have never appeared for JEE Mains, you can still wait 1 year and appear for JEE Mains in 2023.
There is no age limit for the candidates appearing for JEE Mains. The candidates who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 examination. You can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years.
The Eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced is:
- As per 2022, For JEE Advanced the candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1997. However, SC, ST and PwD candidates will get a relaxation of 5 years (born on or after October 1, 1992).
- The maximum number of attempts that the candidates can attempt JEE Advanced is two times in two consecutive years.
