i heard that new admission criteria has been revised that is ether 75% mark in 12th or secured top 20 percentile, what is this please elaborate.

First of all let me congratulate you for having this much of top level score in the JEE mains January session exam but unfortunately you didn't able to make the score in your Class 12th respective board via which you can't be able to take the admission in any of the Government Institutions including NITs because they want 75% from General Category and for the other categories it will be around 65%. Since in both of that you are lagging so you need to think about this zone.
