Hello,
As you have mentioned that you belong to OBC category so for getting admission in IIM Calcutta you need to be an excellent student. Your 10th and 12th scores are not that good but since you improved such tremendously I think that the older scores would not affect you so much but you need to score more than 85% overall to get admission.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.
Hello Dear Student,
IIMs give admissions on the basis of candidates overall academic and professional profile along with their performance in CAT. In addition to CAT Score, IIMs and other B-schools are giving substantial weightage to class 10th, 12th and graduation marks, work experience, professional qualification such as CA, CS, CFA and gender diversity while short lisiting candidates for GD or PI round and for offering final admission as well.
IIM Calcutta gives 40% weightage to past academics (20% for 10th & 20% for 12th) and 56% weightage to CAT and 4% weightage to Gender Diversity. For any score above 80%, you will get full points in the academic category. Generally, for any person to get an interview call in IIM Calcutta, he/she needs to score atleast 99.6+.
