Previously, AEEE rank was solely based on marks scored in AEEE but in 2020 the rank depends on 60% marks scored in AEEE and 40% marks scored in group subjects in 10+2. So the factors determining the cut off changes and previous year cut off cannot be compared to predict the cut off. After the counselling the cut off will be published by the authorities.

If your branch choice is civil engineering then you can easily get Coimbatore campus because only in Coimbatore campus the civil engineering branch is taught.

If you belong to give state then with your state quota, you can get easily get any branch of your choice i.e, civil engineering .
For year 2017, the closing rank (state quota) of Coimbatore campus for civil engineering was - 19971 .

Now, if you are a general category student and is other state student, then it will be difficult for you to get civil engineering in amrita school of engineering. Because in 2018 the closing ranks for other state general category students was 9501 to 10000.

So in 2020 your chances will be difficult, but if you belong to home state than you can easily get civil engineering by applying your state quota.
