Hi Pratigya,

As far as last year allotment is concerned, the last closing rank after second allotment list of government medical colleges for Andaman and Nicobar Institute of medical sciences was AIR 9485 for open category or general category students.

As I can see that your AIR is AIR 20500 and you belong to general category, I do not think that you will be able to get Andaman and Nicobar Institute of Medical Sciences this year also because this year cut off has increased even more because of easy paper.

In any case the AIQ counselling closing rank after second round allotment for general or UR category will never fall to this much rank.

I would like to suggest you to sit for state counselling and see if you can get a government medical seat there because state holds 85% state quota seats along with the reverted seats from AIQ after second allotment.

I hope this information helps.

All the best.
