My ambition is to become an IAS officer. I feel dilemma in choosing either Bsc Psychology or BA political science. Suggest me which course I can choose from this or any other course to achieve my aim.
Hello student,
Its is quite natural to feel this kind of dilemma. Firstly UPSC requires a graduation degree in any discipline so you can choose any field based on your choice. But if you take into account the work profile of IAS or any administration job then BA political science would be helpful. Also BA will give your more time to focus on other activities.
So all the best for your studies

The Eligibility criteria to apply for UPSC exam to become an, IAS officer states that the candidate must have completed graduation with minimum 50% marks in any relevant subject stream from a recognised University.
So, you see, subject you complete your graduation with does not matter. However, out of these two, I would suggest BA Political science will be good.
Otherwise, you can choose any Subject of your choice.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
