EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) is a new category for which 10% of seats will be reserved in B.Tech colleges across Andhra Pradesh for the academic session 2020-21. Last year, the EWS category was included during the counselling process, which was a last-minute decision. In order to avoid the last-minute hassle, APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education) is including EWS as one of the categories in the AP EAMCET application form 2020. A meeting has been conducted with the convenor of all CETs, and the decision has been taken to include the EWS category in the application form.
So, yes if you have your EWS Certificate and if you have mentioned your caste correctly while filling your application form, then your rank will be given based on your caste.
