Yes since your age exceeds the prescribed required minimum age to appear for NEET examination you are allowed to give the examination the prescribed age is to have been completing the17 years of age till you appear for the NEET examination so just relax and continue study hard to appear for the NEET examination.

Hi Ankita ,ofcourse you can appear because the candidates of NEET 2018 should have completed at least 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete 17 years as on or before December 31, 2018.There is no upper age limit for NEET 2018. NEET 2018 Examination is most likely to be held on 10th May (Thursday) 2018 . NEET 2018 Application Form will be released in the month of January 2018.CBSE conducts NEET for admission across all medical colleges in india except aiims,and jipmer. hope this helps, good luck

Yes candidates born before jan 1 , 2002 can appear for neet 2018



Eligibility criteria for neet 2018 is --

Lower Age Limit: Candidates should complete 17 years at the time of admission or will completed on or before 31st December 2018

Upper limit : no



Unreserved Category (UR)Born before 1st January 2002

SC/ST/OBC CategoryBorn before 1st January 2002



Qualification Criteria



Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed the higher/senior secondary examination or ISCE which is equivalent to 10+2 examination after a period of 12 years study.

Subjects: Candidates must pass the above qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English.

Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks (GEN), 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC), 45% marks (GEN PH) & 40% marks (SC/ST/OBC-PH) taken together in PCB subjects.

Appearing Candidates: Candidates who are in the 12th standard can also apply. They must have to show the passing certificates complying with the percentage criteria at the time of first round of counselling

Hello Ankita, As per your query i would like to tell you, As your year of birth is 2001, by the end of the year 2018 you will be 17 years old.Yes, definitely u can appear for NEET 2018 because as per CBSE guidelines u should have completed 17years of age on or before 31December 2018.
