Hi

Yes , with your date of birth on 22 january 1996 you are eligible for Neet 2021 examination.

This is because  ,

There's no upper age limit for neet, earlier there was  age limit of 25 years for Neet but now this matter is in Supreme Court and till the supreme court passes judgement on it, there is no upper age limit for neet examination

And now there's Only minimum age limit according to which ,

to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by  31st  December 2021 and you fulfil this criteria as you are more than 17 years old with your date of birth on 22nd January 1996 and thus you are eligible

Apart from age,

To be eligible you must have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got :-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this percentage requirement in PCB for  your category then you are definitely eligible for Neet 2021 examination.

The age eligibility criteria for NEET 2021 is that the candidate must be 17 years old on or before 31st December,2021 and there is no upper limit for applying.

Now as their is no upper limit for applying you are eligible for NEET 2021 provided you should staisfy all the other criteria such as 50% marks in 10+2 with PCB for UR , 40% for OBC/SC/ST & 45% for PWD.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
