My BITSAT score is 323 and jee advance rank is 11211.Should I drop one year?

First of all congratulations as you have performed quite well in BITSAT. Seems like you are confused about dropping 1 year..

BITS is ofcourse one of the premier institute for engineering in our country. And if we consider the previous year cut off marks for BITS in different branch and campus then you can easily get admission in some of the demanding branch like ece and electrical.

You can get Pilani campus with chemical, civil,mechanical, manufacturing, instrumentation engineering. You can get even EE and ECE at Goa campus and Hyderabad campus.

Coming to drop of an year, if you really want to get admission in IITs and you are really determined for the exams of JEE advance then you can opt for dropping one year. Obviously IITs are having an upper hand over the BITS but you have got a good opportunity for the admissions at the BITS campus so you can also opt for this.

But my personal suggestion is that instead of thinking about dropping an year you just think where you want to see yourself after 4-5 years. Although the college will not make much difference after you graduate from any of the two college but this decision totally depends on you. Instead of listening to anyone else you just listen to yourself.

You are too close to IITs and also your BITSAT score is too good.But with this score you won't get core stream in BITs PILANI.You can secure core stream in BITs Hyderabad or BITs Goa.Also you may get IITs for girls reservation quota in IITs.Wait for JOSAA counselling and participate in it.And fill JOSAA counselling form wisely.

If you don't get your interested stream in IITs the. You should drop one year.
