My branch is Electrical Engineering and in my college i have very less chance of placements . So what jobs should i go for so that it could be counted as work experience if I want to go for CAT exam ?
In case your institute has bleak placement opportunities, Electrical Engineering is a subject where there are a lot of off campus opportunities and you can always apply in them.
Besides this do develop Non Core skills in Software and Analytics as there are lot of career prospects and jobs in these domains in today's date. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys , Accenture besides many other MnCs often have Off Campus Placement Rounds.
You can perhaps prepare for GATE Exam and apply for PSU Jobs in public sector organizations like BHEL, SAIL, NTPC, BARC, IOCL, etc. Barring a few almost all Public Organizations open for Electrical Engineering.
You can also pursue a Masters degree from higher technical institutes in India like Top IITs and IISc, or perhaps prepare for Management Examinations post B.Tech like CAT, MAT, XAT.
Hence you see Placements are not the last alternative. You have a whole sea of opportunities after that. For more information regarding EE follow the link below

For MBA , work experience is not compulsory. You can get into MBA colleges without a work experience. It's like good food placed in a good plate. If you have a work experience you will get a good job or with more package . Otherwise it will depend on your academics.
