Hello ,

According to the marks you have mentioned his rank is expected to be in the range of 400-600 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

So on such rank and category he has good chances to get the NIT Patna in Bihar as well as many other top most NITs with top most branches like CSE, ECE, IT and likewise so some of them are enlisted  :-

  • NIT Jaipur - Computer Science Engineering (3789)
  • Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad - Computer Science Engineering (3073)
  • Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad - Information Technology (4119)

And many more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

Hi

With 240  marks

It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you hold a very good chance to get a seat in NITs. You can easily get NIT in your bihar state i. e NIT Patna

For example

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, 15617  rank for general category for gender neutral under home state got a seat in National Institute of Technology Patna, Computer science engineering

You als have chances in top nits like

NIT TRICHY:-Electronics and Communication

NIT Warangal:-Electronics and Communication

National Institute of Technology, Rourkela:- computer science

And many more

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

It has been  predicted on the basis of  past year data but  cut off/ closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below
