My brother studies in VNIT nagpur, EEE (engg.). Is there any possibility he can do a credit transfer and enter any college in 6th semester?

Hello,
In my opinion you can't do a credit transfer or college change any thing like that. And why you want a change...the college is a good one with an average placement record. You can't enter a college directly into the 6th sem...for lateral entry you can enter directly to 3rd sem only.

It is not possible to change course from second year of Engineering and directly change to 6th semester via any means.
All you can do is change college on basis of your Class12 scores and MHCET scores, and directly take Admission into First or Second Year of Engineering.
Getting into third year is not permitted by any college.
My suggestion would be stay where you're and focus well on studies and Technical skills, work hard for Placements and get good job.
Post that you can go for Mtech or MbA if you wish to take deep dive into business.

Thanks a lot Zubin for the detailed answer and your suggestions. Here is the problem he is facing:1. He is in the 8th Semester, due to the no. of backlogs- the college might not permit him to continue2. As per his credits, he qualigies to be in the 6th SemesterLike you rightly said - most colleges are agreeing for 4th Sem or 5th sem which make him was 1 - 1.5 additional years. Hence i was trying to find a solve for it.Let me know your views.
I think going back to second year of Engineeringwill just simply waste his time, rather he should join coaching institutes and focus on backlogs.
Once he clears graduation, he shoukd immediately go for work experience.
Meanwhile if he has dropped out, he should take some volunteer or Internship experience to justify year gaos and backlogs.
