Hello aviral..
OBC category is sub-categorized into two: Non Creamy Layer and Creamy Layer. This is done to exclude socially advanced persons/ sections (Creamy Layer) from the purview of reservation of OBCs. Whether a person is Non Creamy Layer OBC (NC-OBC) or Creamy Layer depends on the gross income of his/ her parents. If parents’ total gross income is less than 6 lakhs per annum for three consecutive years, then a candidate falls under Non-Creamy Layer and hence is entitled to the benefit of reservation.
I will suggest you to fill your april form freshly. so that no problem would be there ahead.
hope you understand
OBC-NCL Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer. It is a certificate issued by central govt to people who are under central obc list and whose income is under 6 lakhs p.a. for the purpose of reservation to educational institutions and jobs.
OBC category came with a problem that some of them are forward and some of them needed assistance and the solution was a creamy layer… meaning people under it do not need assistance and are considered as good as general category. Persons with income more than 6 lakhs p.a. come under it, with the exception of govt employees, where grade/class is taken into account.Parents income is taken into account.
You have to change it in the april JEE Main form
Thank you
