my category rank (sc) is 9889 ,can i get in NIT?

Dear student,
First of all congratulations, on securing 9889 rank in sc category. But getting seat in nit will be quite difficult.
For surely getting a seat in nits you must secure at least under 6000 rank from sc category.
But still there might be a chance of getting a seat in some low nits.
Now, If you belong to home state quota then you can easily get some nits like, nit sikkim, nit Meghalaya, nit Manipur, nit srinagar, etc.
But you can not get good and top nits like nit Jamshedpur, nit trichy, nit warangal, nit durgapur, etc. with 9889 rank in sc category if you belong from other state or home state quota.
