My child got 209 marks in jee mains 2018, can she get into nit warangal in CS branch

It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.


However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

209 is Very good mark's to get good engineering institute. But NIT Warangal is one of the top NIT and engineering institute in India . Your child have chance's to get CSE at NIT Warangal. But it's unpredictable. Because the cutoff vary every year. But if your child score very good mark's in Jee Mains Than he/she should work hard to score good mark's in advance and got admission at IITs . Moreover, your child have good chances to get CSE at NIT Warangal and she should also fill the form of Delhi Technological university which is also one of the top CSE engineering college. DTU have Very ranking and placements package than NIT Warangal.

I think 209 is a pretty good score but still for a general category student it is difficult to score a seat even at that much score and that too in Computer science. If you have any quota then you may get a seat.
