my child is in class ninth and the father's name is wrong in school record. I want to get it changed for a CBSE registration, so that correct father name is printed on the board exam marksheet. the school is saying it is not possible now. what is the procedure for same?
It is possible
You have to first request to the director of publications, and submit a request for change of name, if there is any spelling mistakes in name.
If there is no spelling mistakes, and you have any proof of persons actual and right name, then you have to make an affidavit for same and
attached photocopy of the documents with proof submitted directly to the director of board of examination.
Documents Required for making Correction in your Father’s Name:
(a) Admission form(s) filled in by the parents at the time of admission.
(b) The School Leaving Certificate of the previous school submitted by the parents of the candidate at the time of admission.
(c) Portion of the page of admission and withdrawal register of the school where the entry has been made in respect of the candidate.
(iii) The Board may effect necessary corrections after verification of the Original records of the school and on payment of the prescribed fee.
After payment of requisite fees, the press would publish the details of the change of your name in government office.
The press would let you know when they would publish the same.
After that wherever you wish to submit your change of name of your father, you can submit true copies of the relevant page of the office.
Just talk to Principal ,he/she would explain all details better .
