Here are some of the preparation tips, You can follow for the Exam.
Work on a Time Table : After carefully checking the syllabus of the exam towards creating a perfect timetable which will fit your schedule while leaving enough time to prepare for the examination within the days left.
Devide & Segregate the JEE Main Syllabus: The topics from the Exam syllabus must be divided into easy, tough and very tough so that preparation of the exam is made accordingly.
Make your Basic Concepts Strong : While it is essential to study the topics mentioned in the official syllabus, it is also advised to study the basic concepts well first. By knowing the basic concepts of the units involved in the examination, you will be able to understand each topics well and in depth. This will result in a greater understanding of the topics and will make it simpler for you to study complicated concepts present in the syllabus.
Improve your Weak Points : Stressed over some topics or formulas which you just cannot seem to understand? Give more time and focus on these topics to improve it. Keep small notes and constantly revise those concepts which has been hard to understand. By constantly studying the topics you find difficult.
Attempt Mock Test and Solve Sample Papers : Mock tests will give you an almost real experience of how the examination will be. By solving mock tests, you will be able to work on time management while at the same time understanding the question paper pattern.
Revision : While studying it is important to revise those topics which has already been studied. It is advised that each day, a certain amount of time should be divided for revision purposes.

Instead of regretting it, it will be great if you prepare for it along with your class twelfth ongoing preparation.
I would not say you to leave this portion because lot of questions come from this part also.
So, start preparing for it.
Get through your notes from the beginning.

You can prepare first from ncert to make your basics strong . Then you can go on to prepare jee main level sums from Arihant. Arihant books are having good explanations for concepts . You can learn the tricks to answer the questions fast from there.
Also try to solve last 10 year papers of mains to get a feel of the type of questions asked

NCERT Physics Books
NCERT books are the most recommended books when it comes to preparing for JEE Mains. If you dont have much time to prepare for the JEE Mains then just prepare from this book and dont bother with other books. It contains most questions from class 11 and 12 curricula of CBSE.
Understanding Physics for JEE Mains and Advanced, Electricity and Magnetism by DC Pandey
This book focuses on the concepts of electricity and magnetism. These two topics are very important for JEE Mains Physics portion that is why this book is recommended highly by most teachers.

When youre studying for the first time for JEE Mains, you should start off by studying this book. This helps you to understand the questions easily and clear your basic concepts.

This is a very good book for learning the strong fundamentals of mathematics which are important for JEE Mains.
RD Sharma Mathematics for Class 11 and 12
This is another one that is good for the fundamentals. But solve questions from this book after you are done with the NCERT books.
