JCECE is a state-level exam for fisheries science, forestry, agricultural, and homeopathic programs administered by the Jharkhand government . The exam is attended by the majority of Jharkhand state universities and colleges, which offer students a variety of science disciplines.

Following the announcement of the JCECE results by the Jharkhand combined entry competitive examination board, students are assigned a rank based on which they are selected.
