Dear Sowri,

I hope you are fit and fine.

You r question is that whether you are eligible for NEET 2021 or not if your date of birth is 4th January 2005.

See, the minimum age required for NEET is 17 years, however there is no any upper age limit for NEET as of now. And one more important thing you must know is that the age calculated by 31th December in the year aspirant is appearing for the exam.

Now, if we try to calculate your age by the 31th December 2021 then your age will be 16 years 11 months and 27 days.

So, unfortunately you will not be able to sit in NEET exam 2021as your age is under 17 years old.

In case you want to know more details about NEET exam, i will recommend you to visit our webpage where you can get all the information related to it. Below I am providing the link for it.

I hope this information helps you.

All the very best!!

Hi

No, you are eligible for Neet 2021 examination with your date of birth on 04 January 2005

This is because,

To be eligible for Neet  examination one needs to be at least 17 years old by 31st December the year in which one is attempting Neet i. e To be eligible for Neet 2021 examination one needs to be at least 17 years old by 31st December 2021

But you fail to  fulfill this criteria  with your date of birth on   04 January 2005  as you will be 17 years old on  04 January 2022 i. e after  31st December 2021 and thus you are not eligible for Neet 2021 examination with your date of birth.

But yes, you will be eligible for Neet 2022 and onwards with your date of birth as you will turn 17 years on 04 January  2022 i.e before 31st December 2022.

Also,

To be eligible for neet , one must be either appearing for  12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got :-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria

Now that you are not eligible for Neet 2021 examination and you will be appearing for Neet 2022  so I would suggest you to focus on your preparation and to help you in that we have neet knockout for you, the link for the same is provided below :-
