Hello,

Over the last few year the popularity of SSC CGL has increased a lot, the fact that many of the toppers come from IITs or engineering background, further proves that there are many candidates interested in appearing for this exam, also the fact that generally the eligibility criteria for SSC CGL is graduation in any stream from a recognized university, there are exception in case of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer: essential qualification is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, desirable qualification is ca/cma/cs/mcom/mba(finance),masters in business economics and masters in business studies, Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 60% marks in maths at 10+2 level or graduation in any subject with statisics as a subject in all the three years of graduation and Statistical Investigator Grade II; Bachelor's degree in any discipline with statisics as a subject in all the three years of graduation. but as you're only in 2nd year you cannot appear for 2021 SSC CGL exam as those in final year are eligible provided they fulfill the educational qualification before or on 1st January, 2021 which you don't as of now, you can appear in your final year, and as far as the preference goes it's entirely your choice, you can appear for any government exams based on the eligibility of graduation, you can also appear for banking and insurance exams also, apart from upsc, state pscs is these interest you, there are various opportunities in government services whether you should appear or not is more dependent on what kind of job profile you're looking at, for example in SSC CGL also there are field based jobs as well as desk jobs, you can apply according to your choices.

Other than aforementioned posts, others only have eligibility criteria of passed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

purwamaheshwari37 first of all you need to calm down as so much is going on in your mind, in this situation it's tough to take any proper decision, if you don't want to appear for NEET then convince your parents for the same, you might have interest in varied discipline, but eventually you have to understand what is that really interest you, what kind of job profile you want to have in career, even if you become doctor, you can still apply for upsc, many medicos too have succeeded this exam, and based on eligibility of graduation as I mentioned you will be eligible to appear for any exam, but put all your focus on one exam, for example the paper pattern of banking/ssc/upsc is quite different, and competition has increased a lot in the past few years, hence you need single minded focus, dedication and perseverance in order to succeed in any of these exams, so take your time and have discussions with your parents regarding this, if your sole aim is to settle down professionally in quick manner, you have to complete your graduation and choose the exam, and accordingly prepare for it wholeheartedly, in the meanwhile you can also do internships, sign up for job portals and gain some experiences, this will also help you explore more domains, and with covid pandemic even work from home opportunities have increased, apart from your studies this will also be a meaningful and productive activity.
