Dear Student,
-
You have scored 175 Marks as your NEET Score in NEET 2019 which are considered between moderate and extremely poor.
-
Therefore you have a little chance to get a Government Seat in a Government Medical College for MBBS and a good chance in BDS.
- The Cutoffs mentioned below are from three states which are Punjab, Tamilnadu, and Gujarat.
- They are mentioned to widen up your view about Government Medical Colleges respectively.

Conclusion:
- Based on the Cutoffs of the previous year and this year, The NEET SCORE Required to get a Government Medical College for MBBS is at least 500 to 550+ in AIQ(All India Quota) and in all over India , it is 450 to 550+ in SQ(State Quota).
- You must get a NEET SCORE of at least 450 or above which you have got in order to get admission for a Government seat in Government Medical college in Government quota.
-
You have scored above 175 which are not even close to them and thus you have a very little chance for MBBS but you have better chance to get admission in your dream seat in your dream college in BDS as their cutoffs remain relatively low than MBBS and if that does not work you can try thses courses such as BAMS, BHMS, BPT, BOT, B.V.Sc. and AH, BUMS, BNYS, BUMS and other a total of 14 medical courses offered by NEET which offer you a chance to become a doctor and other respective jobs.
-
However, if that does not work either then you can try B.Sc. and Paramedical Courses in which there are 1000+ opportunities in India alone and more available in abroad as well with a highly respective paycheck which is equivalent and can surpass even doctors if done with passion and consistency.
-
It would have been more helpful if you have mentioned the college, the course and the type of college you want to get a better point of view and a quick response and a better perspective.
-
Therefore, remember to always provide enough information to get proper and quick advice or guidance.
-
My final recommendation is for you to apply for both but if you have confidence and you want to be sure then I suggest that you should opt for BDS as it is not always about seeing patients and their teeth, it also has a vast job options after completion of the course and you can become much more than a Dentist and the paycheck is also quite similar and also both degrees are for Doctors but the work hours will also be limited in BDS as compared to MBBS jobs.
- If you have any query or confusion or doubt or issue or problem about NEET, Admission and verification process and colleges and Cutoffs; you can ask us another question and it will surely get solved and proper guidance will be provided.
I Consider your query has met with its conclusion.
ALL THE BEST FUTURE DOCTOR!!
